Eastern Shore Dreams

I went to a barbecue yesterday at my pastor’s house. Our church puts on a lot of Christian plays. I’m the lighting designer/director for the plays we put on. One of the rewards of being an actor, cast member or crewmember of our drama ministry is the party afterwards. I have a serious love of the ocean. I call the Atlantic Ocean my ocean. I am simply in love with the Atlantic Ocean and the bays and intercoastal waterways of the east coast. For those of you on the west coast who have an affinity to the Pacific…well I’ve been to the Pacific Ocean, I’ve been swimming in it, I have fished it and it is beautiful but I’m really an east coast kind of guy. I’ve seen the Gulf of Mexico and observed the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life over it. But I’m still an east coast kind of guy.

But back to the barbecue. The barbecue, as I said was at my pastor’s house. The house sits right on the Chesapeake Bay in a small town on Maryland’s eastern shore. I live in a small town that borders Philly in Pennsylvania. There is a lot of water in and around Maryland and it is one of the places I want to move to and own property and real estate. One of my biggest dreams is to own a saltwater marina either on the Atlantic Ocean, Delaware or Chesapeake Bays. There are a lot of condominiums for sale on the eastern shore of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia and I’ve got plans to purchase a few of them. If things really go as I plan the marina I buy will have a condo or two with it.

Forgive me for rambling. I want to get to the point. I took the photos of the house on the bay and wanted visitors to this blog to see them. The house sits on a bank in a rural area of Maryland. Cornfields and woods surround it. It’s a very quiet area except when our church has its little outings there with tons of kids running around and jumping in and out of the pool. Deer roam the grounds freely and it’s just a beautiful place. I know this house must be worth a few million dollars. Maybe I’ll make my pastor an offer to buy it.

Well anyway, enjoy the photos. If you love saltwater and anything that has to do with saltwater living visit my Beach and Seashore web site. I’ll be posting reviews of different places I visit along the Atlantic coast. From time to time I may write about Pacific or Gulf coast locations as well. If you would like to post any coastal related (Saltwater only) information like real estate, property, boats, yachts for sale, whatever, just post it on the comment section of this blog and I’ll see to it that it gets added to my web site. Enjoy the photos.
